Privacy Policy
What information mind.io handles and where, what the analytics and advertising tools on the site collect, and how you can delete it or opt out.
Effective date: October 30, 2026
In Short
mind.io works without sign-up or login. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we run no server or database that stores anyone’s test answers or results.
Results and settings are saved only in the browser on the device you are using. Only if you tap to join the anonymous type ranking on a result page are the test, the result type and the page language sent, to be added to per-type totals. To run the site and show ads, however, we use outside services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Cloudflare Web Analytics), which collect visit information as described below.
What Is Saved In Your Browser
Your browser’s storage (such as localStorage) may hold the results and scores of tests you completed, answers in progress, the birth date and time you entered for Saju, the birth date you entered for Daily Fortune and each day’s fortune result, settings such as language, theme and auto-advance, a note of friends’ shared results you opened, and, for each test, the day you joined the anonymous type ranking and the type you sent. None of this is sent to a mind.io server (joining the anonymous type ranking sends only what is described below), and it is not visible from another browser, even on the same device.
On the My Results page you can delete results one at a time, by test or all at once, and save them to a backup file (.json) or restore them from one. Clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings removes all saved results and settings. On a shared device, we recommend clearing them when you are done.
Anonymous Type Ranking
The result pages of the MBTI, Enneagram, attachment style, love languages, love style, DISC, Teto vs Egen, personality animal, RIASEC and VIA strengths tests have a button for joining an anonymous type ranking. Only when you tap it is the information below sent to mind.io’s ranking server, to build a ranking of which types are most common among the people who joined. If you do not tap it, nothing is sent, and the tests and results work exactly the same.
What is sent: the test, the result type (such as INFP) and the page language. For Teto vs Egen, only the side (Teto or Egen) is sent, never the male/female label. For the love style test, only the single highest-scoring style is sent; when two or more styles tie for the highest score, the join button does not appear. For each day (Korean time), the server adds one to the count for that test and type; it does not keep each entry as a separate record, and it uses the page language only to check the request, without storing it. Your answers, scores and name are not sent, and the request carries no cookies. Results of the depression (PHQ-9), anxiety (GAD-7), burnout, self-esteem, self-compassion and HSP check-ins, the Big Five and empathy tests, Saju, Daily Fortune, Face Analysis and Palmistry are never sent to the ranking.
The ranking server neither reads nor stores anything that could identify the person joining, such as an IP address, browser details or cookies. Instead, this browser remembers which tests it has joined, so the same browser can add each test only once, even after a retake. Excessive requests are limited only by totals that do not tell people apart: each test accepts up to 30 entries a minute and 3,000 a day (Korean time) across the whole site, and the per-minute count starts over each minute. Entries are anonymous and unverified, so automated entries may be mixed in, and the same person could join again from another browser or device. The numbers in a ranking are therefore entries, not people.
The ranking server runs on Cloudflare Pages Functions, and requests are handled by Cloudflare’s global network at a location near the visitor. The daily counts and per-minute request counts are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare, Inc.) whose primary location is Asia-Pacific (APAC); test deployments use a separate database. As with any page request, Cloudflare processes connection information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the request. Because the counts are totals that cannot be traced to anyone, they are kept for as long as the ranking runs. Google Analytics records an event naming only the test when you join (stats_opt_in), view a ranking page (ranking_view) or share a ranking (ranking_share, with the sharing method); it never includes the result type, rank or share.
A ranking is published only once a test has at least 30 entries or 5 per type, whichever is more; until then only the total is shown. It shows the people who chose to join from their result page, not the share of each type in the population.
Joining is optional, and you are free not to join. Because the counts hold nothing that shows who sent an entry, an entry cannot be found and removed or undone once it is added. This browser’s storage (mindio:stats:v1:participation) keeps, for each test, the day you joined and the type you sent; deleting everything on the My Results page or clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes it.
Visit Statistics: Google Analytics
mind.io uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand which pages and features are used. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the address and title of the pages you visit, the previous page, your browser and device type, screen size, and an approximate location estimated from your IP address. The events the site sends itself only describe feature use, such as which test was started or how a result was shared; they never contain answers or scores.
PHQ-9 and GAD-7 self-check result pages send nothing to Google Analytics, not even a page view, and these two checks send no start or completion events. On shared result pages and pages that reopen a saved result, the part of the address that carries the result is removed, and a generic title is sent instead of one naming the result. On pages opened from a “How well do you know me?” quiz link, the ?q part of the address (the results of several tests) is removed as well.
If you do not want Google Analytics to collect this information, you can install Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser.
Advertising: Google AdSense
mind.io shows Google AdSense ads to stay free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites, and Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it show you ads based on those visits (personalised ads).
You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of other third-party vendors’ cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser. With personalised ads turned off you will still see ads, but they may be less related to your interests.
In some regions, such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google may show a consent message where you can choose whether advertising cookies are used. As on any other website, the ad script receives the address of the page you are viewing; mind.io does not send your answers or results anywhere for advertising. Ads are not loaded when you open the depression (PHQ-9) or anxiety (GAD-7) check-in pages directly. If you arrive there from another page during the same visit, ad scripts that already loaded may remain.
Hosting And Cloudflare Web Analytics
mind.io is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver the pages, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, the requested address (for a share link, the whole link address) and browser details.
Cloudflare also adds its Cloudflare Web Analytics script to the pages it serves, which counts information such as the page visited, the previous page, browser type and page load speed. This script does not use cookies or browser storage.
Camera, Photos And Other Outside Resources
The face analysis and palm reading tools analyse the photo you take or choose only inside the browser on this device. Photos and camera video are never sent to a server or saved. Camera access is requested only when you choose to use the camera in one of these tools, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser settings.
The analysis models are downloaded from Google’s TensorFlow Hub (tfhub.dev, which now redirects to Kaggle) by default, and MediaPipe files come from jsDelivr only when that does not work. The palm reading tool also loads OpenCV from the OpenCV website (docs.opencv.org), and every page loads fonts from Google Fonts. These services receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address.
Transfers Abroad
Because the site uses outside services, the information below is sent over the internet to those companies’ servers when you open a page or use the related feature. Those servers are mainly in the United States, except that the anonymous type ranking’s counts are stored in Cloudflare D1 with Asia-Pacific (APAC) as their primary location, and requests are handled by Cloudflare’s global network. How long it is kept follows each company’s policy.
Google LLC (USA): Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Fonts and TensorFlow Hub. Information such as the page address, device and browser details, IP address, cookies and advertising identifiers.
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, Cloudflare Web Analytics and the anonymous type ranking (Pages Functions and D1). The requested page address, IP address, and device and browser details, plus, if you join the ranking, the test, the result type and the page language; the ranking’s counts are stored in Cloudflare D1, with Asia-Pacific (APAC) as their primary location. How long the ranking data is kept is described under Anonymous Type Ranking above.
If you do not want these transfers, you can use the cookie blocking and ad opt-out options above or stop using the site; the site cannot be viewed without going through its host.
Children
mind.io is not directed at children, and because there are no accounts we do not ask for or check anyone’s age. If you are under 14, please use the site with a parent or guardian.
Complaints
If you believe your privacy has been infringed, you can also contact the data protection authority where you live.
Questions And Changes
For questions about this policy, see the contact page. Because mind.io has no accounts, it does not collect information that identifies you, such as a name or contact details. The anonymous type ranking keeps only totals per type, and you can view and delete what is saved in your browser yourself as described above. Information collected by Google and Cloudflare is managed through each company’s own privacy policy and settings.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
