When a group chat can’t agree, I’m the one who sums it up and makes the call.

How much does this sound like you?

How the Teto vs Egen test works out your Teto percentage, five-level badge and results by area, and how to read them for fun.

Response · 5-point scale

Answer Honestly, Read Carefully

Answer the way you usually talk and act instead of aiming for a result; comparing with friends is more fun that way. Take the result as a playful name for your current vibe, not a verdict on your personality.

Limits

This quiz turns trending slang into a game: it is not a psychological test or personality theory, and it has nothing to do with real hormones. Please do not use it for big decisions about dating or relationships.

What your result shows

  • One percentage for how close you are to Teto or Egen (for example, Teto 65%), plus a five-level badge from strong Teto to strong Egen.
  • Talk, love, work and daily life are each scored separately from five items, so you see whether each area leans Teto, Egen or balanced.
  • An area at 60% Teto or more leans Teto, one at 40% or less leans Egen, and anything in between is balanced.
  • Then come how you come across in love, friendships and work, with light tips to try.
Example

An illustrative example, not real answers. The numbers are ones the result page’s scoring can actually produce.

Teto Type 65%

An example at the “Teto” level overall that differs from area to area.

  • Talk: Teto 75% · Leans Teto
  • Love: Teto 55% · Balanced
  • Work: Teto 80% · Leans Teto
  • Daily life: Teto 50% · Balanced

Talk and work lean clearly Teto, while love and daily life fall between 41% and 59% and show as balanced. The overall 65% equals the average of the four areas.

Who this test suits

  • Love Languages →If you are curious how you show and receive affection in love.

Teto Guy, Teto Girl, Egen Guy, Egen Girl: what do people mean?

How each of the four labels is talked about online, its strengths and blind spots, and how the labels pair up. The “guy” or “girl” is a name, not a personality.

How to read your results

How It Works

You answer 20 statements, five each about talk, love, work and daily life, from “Strongly disagree” to “Strongly agree.” Half describe the Teto side and the other half the Egen side.

“Agree” and “Strongly agree” give 1 and 2 points to the side a statement describes, “Disagree” and “Strongly disagree” give 1 and 2 points to the other side, and “Neutral” scores nothing. The gap between the two sides becomes a Teto percentage: 50% or more gets a Teto name and under 50% an Egen name, and each of the four areas gets its own percentage the same way.

Score Interpretation

If the winning side is at 80% or more, the badge reads “Strong Teto” or “Strong Egen”; at 60–79%, “Teto” or “Egen”; at 51–59%, “Balanced, leaning Teto” or “Balanced, leaning Egen”; and an exact split reads “Perfect 50:50”. Teto at 55% carries the Teto name, but in practice the two sides are mixed almost evenly.

Look at the area percentages separately from the overall one. Even with an overall Teto 65%, love can sit at Teto 40%, on the Egen side, while work sits at Teto 80%, on the Teto side. It is all for fun, so rather than pinning a label on yourself, use it to chat with friends about where your vibe changes.

Frequently asked questions

What do Teto and Egen mean?

They are Korean internet slang taken from testosterone and estrogen: Teto describes a direct, take-charge vibe and Egen a gentle, empathetic one. They have nothing to do with actual hormone levels and are meant for fun.

Can anyone take the Teto vs Egen test?

Anyone can. The optional Male or Female choice above the questions only changes the name of your result, such as Teto Guy or Teto Girl, and never your score. If you skip it, your result is simply Teto Type or Egen Type.

How many questions are there, and what does the result show?

There are 20 questions about talk, love, work and daily life, about 4 minutes in all. The result shows which side you lean toward and how far, on a five-step scale with a percentage. If you know your MBTI type, the result page also shows your T or F next to your Teto percentage as an “MBTI × Teto–Egen” combo.

Can I trust my Teto or Egen result?

It is an entertainment quiz based on a trending meme, not a psychological theory or assessment. Enjoy it as something to talk about with friends, and do not use it to choose a partner or judge anyone.

Can I compare my result with a friend’s?

Send a share link from the result page and your friend can see your result and start their own test right away. The link itself carries your result, so send it only to people you want to show.

What happens if Teto and Egen come out exactly 50:50?

The result keeps the Teto name (for example, Teto Type) and the badge changes to “Perfect 50:50”. One fixed name keeps the share link and the result card the same every time. Anything from 41% to 59% is shown as “Balanced, leaning Teto” or “Balanced, leaning Egen”, so read the percentage along with the name.
